Challenging Role for Chief Technology Officer

Wavebob is now seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

The CTO will provide the technical leadership and strategic planning required to build our engineering operation to achieve the timely delivery to market of a highly effective, commercial Wave Energy Converter product.

The CTO will contribute the vision and leadership to effectively harness our spirit of innovation and energy throughout the product engineering, commercial manufacturing, delivery and deployment process. They will be responsible for maintaining a highly productive, creative and collaborative environment that ensures our technology solutions exceed the massive demands of the ocean energy opportunity.

We expect our CTO will be an engineering heavyweight who can demonstrate extensive (hands-on) experience and a proven track record within the engineering design life-cycle and commercialisation of complex technology products, ideally gained in senior engineering business leadership roles.

Reporting to the CEO, the CTO will be responsible for the definition and execution of a deliberate systems engineering technology strategy, that will effectively coordinate internal R&D, engineering resources, and external partners. The successful candidate will likely possess a solid understanding of complex technical issues in the fields of hydrodynamics, electrical, control and mechanical engineering in the marine sector.
