Board Biographies
Göran Dandanell, Chairman
Göran is founding director of GREInvest, a specialist renewable energy venture capital firm; is former Head of Vattenfall UK & Ireland and Chairman of Tonn Energy. He has significant experience in the energy industry and an extensive knowledge of mergers, acquisitions and fundraising in this sector. He has previously held positions of Head of Business Development and M&A within Vattenfall’s largest Business Unit and was Head of Vattenfall’s Latin American Business, stationed in Miami, Florida.
Andrew Parish, Chief Executive Officer
Andrew holds a primary degree in mathematics and chemistry from the National University of Ireland and holds postgraduate management qualifications from Henley Business School, London and the Irish Management Institute. Prior to Wavebob, he established Applied Innovation Ireland, an applied research organisation focussed on driving small and medium companies to grow their business through technical and commercial innovation. He is founding director of Tonn Energy and serves on the board of the School of Engineering in Trinity College Dublin and the Research Advisory Board of the University of Limerick. He is a member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology, the Institute of Directors and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Padraig Berry, Vice Chairman
Pádraig is Director of The Mespil Partnership, which specializes in identifying investment opportunities for clients in a range of sectors. Pádraig’s main area of responsibility is in strategic thinking and planning, and in team and organizational development. He has been actively involved in Entrepreneurship for the last 25 years, both in business for himself and for the last 10 years as an executive mentor and advisor. As a former Managing Director of a significant private investment company which took a hands-on approach to all its investments, Pádraig retains a specialism in securing investment and driving commercial returns. He holds a BA from GMIT and an MBA from Cornell/ESSEC Paris.
John Hartnett, Non-executive Director
John is President of the Irish Technology Leadership Group and is founding member of Irish Technology Capital. He earned a marketing degree through the Marketing Institute of Ireland, a post-graduate diploma in finance and completed the executive management programme at Stanford University. One of the top 100 Irish American business executives in the U.S., his career in high-tech to date boasts senior executive positions in some of the industry’s leading companies such as Palm Inc, Handspring, Metacreations, Claris, AT&T, Digital Equipment and Wang.
Elliot Griffin, Non-executive Director
Elliot is the Managing Director of BVP Investments. BVP Investments is the investment manager for a specialist cleantech fund, the Simple Green Fund www.simple.ie.
